All black is the norm around the square during class time, but this Fashionisto changed up the game with a look reminiscent of my favorite punk rock music videos.
What drew me in was an unexpected necktie draped over an awesome, off-white, UNIF graphic tank. He takes formal wear out of context. He pairs his look with all black, a little eyeliner and an attitude. This Fashionisto is the closest you can get to a real life, punk rock superstar.
My favorite piece is (surprisingly) the one that isn’t black. He dons an off-white UNIF graphic tank with some middle fingers, a rock-on hand sign and an explicit phrase printed on the front that all add to a punk attitude. Adorned with small holes all over, it has the perfect touch of grunge and brings me back to Balmain’s spring 2011 ready-to-wear collection that made the ratty T-shirt trend blow up.
A leather jacket is the obvious choice for this weather, but on a colder day when this Fashionisto was spotted, he smartly layered with a black hoodie. The leather jacket is tied together with sneakers that have leather accents. The nearly all black look is made complete with simple black jeans.
Tell them how you really feel with one of the many dope graphic tanks from UNIF like this Fashionisto does. Channel your inner Billie Joe Armstrong and add a traditional necktie, in black of course, loosely around the neck. Throw on a leather jacket and sneakers with leather accents that complement each other. Wear with black skinnies, eyeliner and a lot of attitude.
