STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Something Sparkly

Around the holidays, there is no better way to celebrate than with sparkly attire. Regardless of what you’re celebrating, the holiday season is a great time to get all dressed up and paint the town. My personal favorite holiday to dress up for is New Year’s Eve. I am a huge fan of anything with sparkles, so New Year’s Eve is a great fit. Whether it be a glittery dress or bedazzled shoes, I love scoping out all of the festive attire in stores around the holidays.

This Fashionista is rocking an edgy, glamorous celebration look. She pairs a sparkly black romper with matching black booties. She accessorizes with dangly earrings. To stay warm she adds a pair of black, sheer tights and a pink, wool coat. The look is dressy and edgy, but the coat adds a touch of softness and a pop of color. Overall, the outfit is great. I particularly love the low-cut back of the romper. Also, because the look already contains a lot of sparkle, minimal accessories are necessary. If the Fashionista had chosen to accessorize with more than just earrings, the look might have been too gaudy. With just the earrings, however, the look is perfected with a touch of sparkle, but nothing overwhelming.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Try to do something festive for the holidays that is different from what you normally wear. For example, if you normally wear a dress, opt for something different such as a romper or a jumper.”
