STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Snow Worries

February 5th, 2016 at 2:00am

Feeling the winter blues? School work picking up? What better way to de-stress than getting dressed up in your favorite winter outfit? Although the cold weather means red noses, skyrocketing heat bills and slipping on ice, it doesn’t have to mean big sweatpants and T-Shirts to class. We all need days with structured fashionable outfits to feel like girls again. Look good feel good, am I right?

What is also great about this outfit is it can be worn during the day and then take you into nighttime. Each piece here would probably be something you already have in your closet. Owning “the basics” works out great when you want to mix and match. All that is left to do is pair them together.

Embracing her inner snow bunny, this Fashionista is wearing a black and white blanket scarf. So simple and cute, yet so practical. As a scarf addict, this one is easily one of my favorite staples. On her feet are suede black wedges with a kitten heel; this makes them versatile and easy to walk in. She pairs the wedges with a burgundy skater skirt, courtesy of Forever 21 and a pair of simple black tights. This predominantly black look is classy for all occasions and also made fun by the incorporation of color and pattern.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Scarfs complete looks. If you want to add something to your outfit, you can never go wrong with a scarf. I like wearing them because they are a versatile accessory that can match a lot of different outfits.”
