STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Simple Captivation

Speaking of Los Angeles weather, most people would immediately think of a nice and warm sunshine, with clear blue sky and cool places to rest under the shadow of numerous palm trees. However, reality is always harsher than imagination. Summer in Los Angeles equals ninety to a hundred degrees Fahrenheit, burning sun and never-ending sweats from the humidity. How to dress simple but still stylish in the heat is constantly a challenge for all the Fashionistas out there.

This particular Fashionista caught my attention on an extremely hot day, while I was walking on the street to my favorite coffee shop. Her style was very simple, yet it was greatly captivating. The plain color, thin strap knit dress hugged the body nicely and emphasized the feminine curves while the short flare skirt gave her a youthful and dynamic impression. A black, mini cross-body bag was chosen to match with a pair of black sandals, in order to maintain the dark color theme as well as the simplicity of the overall outfit.

The Fashionista tied her hair effortlessly in a low ponytail mainly to avoid the heat, but surprisingly, it actually added a natural and sophisticated element to her image. Since the majority of the clothes and accessories were fairly simple, a pair of medium size, chandelier-like, yellow gold tone earrings were added to spice up the atmosphere. In addition, a beautiful smile and confident attitude were the last essential touches to the outfit from the Fashionista.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “It is not easy trying to wear less but still looking cute due to the heat. However, dressing simple does not mean you are lazy or don’t have style. Everyone has their own preference and comfort zone, each of us just need to find and work it our way”.
