STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Show Your True Colors

Style Advice of the Week

Coco Chanel said, “In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different.” I strive to achieve those words everyday, and I love when I find a person whose style truly stands out and shows personality. It makes me want to know more about them. One of my new year’s resolutions is to be less afraid of taking fashion risks. It doesn’t always have to be your clothes that make a fashion statement – you can stand out day after day with a pop of color in your hair. This Fashionista’s blue hair tied up with a black bandana really inspired me to show my true colors.

The bad girl bandana, Converse sneakers and camouflage pants adds character to a polished fur–collared navy winter coat. If you are not ready to dye your hair bright blue then you can incorporate some bold pops of color into other accessories. Her red Dooney & Bourke bag is an eye-catcher as well and is perfect for lugging your school books from class to class. Fashion is about taking risks and letting everyone get a glimpse of your personality by not speaking a word. This Fashionista who is from New York does just that by being fearless in her color choices that she chose to pair together on a chilly afternoon. She is definitely not afraid to show her true colors and in this case it’s blue!

Like her style? Find a similar puffer jacket from Lord & Taylor and grab an amazing pair of ripped camouflage skinny jeans at ASOS to mimic her look.
