Although he wasn’t paying too much mind to the correlation between his style and current runway trends, I couldn’t help but notice how similar this look is to some in Michael Bastian’s spring 2016 menswear collection. Short shorts on men are making a comeback and they are undeniably ideal for the summer.
This look is super trendy yet super classic and is sure to be a hit at any casual indoor or outdoor event this summer. Pairing a basic tee with a pair of preppy throwback short shorts gives room for the perfect amount of trend to this outfit. Add a super cool flat bill hat and some worn in shoes from H&M and any Fashionisto is sure to have a winning outfit to beat the heat. It’s important to remember to keep your accessories personalized but not too flashy—this city-repping hat adds a modern touch to an otherwise old school style. Not to mention, there’s nothing wrong with mixing all that summertime blue (or choosing any other monochrome).
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “My main focus is always comfort. If the weather is warm, I try to stay as cool as possible, and chambray shorts are breathable and could be dressed up or down. Oh, and always keep a button-down shirt in your car in case you are headed to somewhere more dressy after a hot summer day.”
