STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: She’s In The Army Now

Style Advice of the Week

When it is cold or rainy outside, we lean towards wearing sweatpants and oversized jackets to be comfortable and stay warm. But it all comes down to the fact that we don’t think we can wear fashionable clothes when the weather is bad. Today’s Fashionista tells a different story. She thinks that you can stay warm, be comfortable and fashionable even if there is a downpour outside.

The one item I noticed from her outfit is the tailored military jacket. She uses this major trend that’s often seen during fashion week to establish her edgy style. The jacket is thin enough to wear on warmer days but has enough material to get you through the colder ones. The jacket is made from 100 percent cotton material and the patches on the sleeves give it an ’80s flair. But the best thing about her coat is the silhouette. It fits the body perfectly and hugs the curves to give you that perfect shape. You can find a military jacket pretty much anywhere you go. Some of the best places to find one are at Urban Outfitters and by Kendall and Kylie at PacSun.

We all know that we have our lazy days when it feels easier to wake up and put on sweatpants to go to class or run errands. But much like what this Fashionista did, you can easily be comfortable, warm and stylish by putting on a nicely tailored military style jacket. So next time, think about wearing something different and have fun no matter what the weather brings.
