While some might argue that an outfit is never complete without a smile, this Fashionista shows that, on the contrary, attitude is key to finishing an outfit. And while I would never wear a pair of sweatpants in fear of looking drab or lazy, this Fashionista once again proves me wrong, looking nothing short of fabulous in her sweatpants. This week’s Fashionista defies all fashion expectations; however, if one thing is to always be expected from this Fashionista, it’s that she’ll always look good.
This Fashionista started off her outfit with tapered and quilted jogging pants. Fashionistas and Fashionistos alike are running towards the “sweatpants trend,” indulging themselves with soft, felted materials and comfortable alternatives to stiff denim. By pairing the statement sweatpants with a white ribbed mock turtleneck crop top, this Fashionista kept the sweatpants far more chic than drab. On top of her extremely versatile sleeveless crop top, this Fashionista layered on mesh kimono. The Japanese-inspired piece sported the number 13 on the back, giving a typically bohemian garment a more athletic, urban vibe.
By further pairing unexpected pieces together, this Fashionista crafted an entirely unique look, heavily inspired by a number of styles and cultures. Layers of thick, gold chains dangled off her neck, acting as the perfect accessory for her simple white top, while a black twist turban further blended her mix of urban, edgy and somewhat bohemian vibes.
And of course, no outfit would be complete without a pair of killer shoes. This Fashionista opted for a pair of platform lace up boots with a chunky heel, which, like her sweatpants, combined good looks and comfort.
Try combining a variety of looks and styles for a look that is uniquely your own. Take your sweatpants out for a (figurative) jog, spicing them up with a pair of heels and a statement necklace. This Fashionista may be off the court, but she certainly scored with her style.
