STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Shake Your Romper

Style Advice of the Week

The season if finally here to rock those infamous rompers. I’m just going to cut to the chase and start raving about this go-to item of the moment. For spring and summer, they are more than essential in your seasonal wardrobe. Rompers have been trending for the past few years now and I’m more than glad that they are still around.

Accessibility and versatility are always important factors to keep in mind when putting on your favorite outfit. One of my favorite things about rompers is definitely the fact that they look great on many different body types. I love their use of chiffon and cotton fabrics that the rompers are known for. The easy loose material is a go-to for any girl, with any body type this season. Another factor to keep in mind, is the cinched waist. Who doesn’t love a cinched waist to create a smaller frame? This component on rompers accentuates the bust area and the hips, making for a great silhouette.

As for me, I love a romper with a great print. That way, I can make sure that my romper is the focus and statement piece of my whole outfit. Being that it is one piece, it’s effortless and you don’t have to find a bottom or a top to match. I’m loving this Nordstrom bohemian romper. It’s a great alternative if you’re uncomfortable with your arms. And there’s a small open back that’s definitely a popular trend this season as well. For that splurge, Topshop has rompers with so many cool and fun gypsy prints. My personal favorite is the Zara blush pink lace and satin romper with the drop waist. Rompers are everything and easy to locate, try to search around for your perfect kind.

The Fashionista is wearing a light brown and black aztec printed romper. She had a leather jacket draped over her shoulders but I thought the romper was a statement piece enough. I was definitely drawn to the print and how she didn’t need a necklace or anything too bold to catch my attention. The Fashionista claimed that she loves rompers because they’re so easy to throw on and just go. She paired her outfit with a cross bag and a pair of light brown boots.

Have fun with rompers and pair them with your favorite leather or jean jacket for a night out and swap your sandals with wedges or heels. I love the versatility of these and it’s a lot of fun to play around with different looks.
