STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Santa Is My Homie

The weather outside may not be frightful, but this time of year sure is delightful! Okay, I’m finished with butchering cherished holiday songs. There’s just something about this time of year that makes the whole world seem a little more magical. Regardless of what you may celebrate, there’s something special about December. From holiday parties, to something as simple as having a breather from school, ‘tis the season to be stylish! After all, Santa doesn’t have to be your homie in order for you to spread some holiday cheer with a RAD outfit.

This Fashionista sure knows how to get her Christmas on! In the stress of running around campus during finals week, she stood out with her festive attire. Ugly Christmas/holiday-themed sweaters aren’t the only way to incorporate your excitement for the approaching occasions anymore. Try a crewneck with a hilarious holiday slogan, like this Fashionista. Keep your outfit’s color theme festive as well, and you’ll instantly amp your outfit from Grinch-chic to on par with Buddy the Elf (but trendier). Add even more style points by incorporating accessories in rich metallic hues—there’s nothing like a little sparkle, you’ll be thinking of snowflakes and tinsel in no time!

Festive Fashionistas are super rare on campus during the depression that finals create. When I spotted this one, I was instantly in awe of her ability to look so put together, all the while in the spirit of the holidays. Her black crewneck sweatshirt features a catchy slogan, “Santa’s my homie.” The best part about her top is that it’s not in-your-face as some holiday-themed sweaters can be. She also wears burgundy pants (the perfect color choice), a modern adaptation of the classic red hue that is most often associated with Christmas. On her fingers, she flaunts rings in golden finishes, which are reminiscent of the bows on top of the presents under the tree. These gorgeous accessories wrap up this Fashionista’s fantastic holiday look!
