STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Roses are Red, Streetwear is for You

Over the last couple of years clothing companies like Stüssy, OBEY, Supreme, Pink Dolphin and HUF have swept the nation with their iconic logos and sick threads. These brands have taken the casual skater/surfer/semi-sportswear look and crossbred it with high fashion runway looks. One of the most classic items a street wear company has is its classic T-shirt—and that is exactly how this Fashionisto caught my attention.

I spotted this Fashionisto on the streets of Chicago, and what immediately caught my eye was his T-shirt. When I saw his shirt, I had never seen anything like it! I immediately fell in love with the rose pattern. When I asked the Fashionisto where his shirt was from he told me that it was his best friend’s and his company called Physis Apparel. They are a Chicago based company that makes street wear, that combine aspects of nature with urban city life. With his Physis Rose T-shirt, he pairs off the rest of his look with a classic Quicksilver logo hat and his khaki Volcom pants. What I like about his pants is that they are very versatile, they can be worn out on the streets, or he can pair a nice button-down for something a little dressier. He finishes off his look with his off-white lace up Vans.

STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: “Worn in looks are dope. That’s something I always incorporate. My Quicksilver hat is five years old and really worn in, so it fits perfectly. My shirt is super comfortable and not too flashy. But also stands out and makes a statement too. So basically my three pointers are, comfortable clothes, something that can be worn in any setting and something that sets you apart without being too loud.”
