STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Rip Those Jeans

March 5th, 2015 at 2:00am

Jeans have always been a staple item in my wardrobe. But when I came to college, I was surprised by how many of my friends never wore jeans. They always chose leggings instead and would say they were “just comfier and easier.”

One of the reasons why I love wearing jeans so much is because they not only come in every single color of the rainbow, but there are also so many different styles. There is never a day when I wake up frustrated that my jeans do not match any of my tops—it’s just not possible! You can get jeans ranging from dark wash to light wash. There are green jeans or patterned jeans. And then you can get skinny, boot cut or (my all time favorite) boyfriend jeans. You name it. Let it be type, fit or color—there will always be an endless amount of options.

This Fashionista took herself out of the ordinary and decided it was time to rock her jeans. Besides them being cool and original, I was surprised that anyone would be willing to put as much effort into her outfit in the middle of midterm week! Her jeans are so unique that they don’t fall into any particular category. They are light wash skinnies; yet, they have rips patched with darker and lighter shades of blue. She maintained an outfit that was stylish yet still comfortable enough to sit in at the library all day by throwing on her comfy sweater. Lastly, she whipped out her vintage snow boots from the ’90s. It’s such a shame they are vintage because I would do anything to replace my Sorel boots with them! I mean, wouldn’t you too?

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Wear what you feel comfortable in. When you are comfortable in your clothes you are happy. And when you are happy you are that much more beautiful!”
