STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Ready, Set, Floral

Style Advice of the Week

The sun is shining and Fashionistas could not be more ecstatic! Finally, we have come across a day without gloomy, cold or wet weather. At 70 degrees the student body has enthusiastically tapped into their spring wardrobe. Bright colors and slithers of skin have taken over campus. Just about everyone is wearing either something that reveals their arms and legs or spring-like colors. Even patterns outside of the floral family have been seen in Fashionista’s ensembles.

One Fashionista sported floral colorful shorts with a tan cropped top and gold chain belt. The beautiful weather permitted her to wear the cute print and color scheme. She paired her outfit with blue studded flats creating a chic school girl look. By choosing to wear minimal accessories, she keeps the look simple and flirty. Although there are some Fashionistas who are very strict with the type of patterns they choose to wear during the spring season, it’s okay to take chances with floral. Also, just because floral is usually great for this time of the year doesn’t mean you have to limit yourself. Make the best out of your spring wardrobe and experiment with a variety of prints.

What are your favorite pieces in your wardrobe that just scream spring? For this week, I advise you to pull out your favorite springtime patterns including floral. The season is now in full effect and this is the time to create even more irresistible looks. For spring 2014, dive into your wardrobe and discover those floral skirts and bright colors all over again. Fall in love with the beauty of spring in fashion.
