Fall is in the air which means it is time to start drinking pumpkin spice lattes and break out all the fabulous fall fashion. After a weekend trip to Fordham University, I got the opportunity to seek out what the Fashionsta/os are doing on Fordham’s campus. Being so close to New York City, students at Fordham are some of the first fall trendsetters for the new fashion.
This Fashionista displays fall fashion with not only the type of clothing she wears, but also with the colors she uses. The oversized, pumpkin-colored sweater is perfect for the fall season because it can be worn with dark skinny jeans or leggings. Oversized sweaters can be found at an array of stores and in various different styles, which makes it easy for for any Fashionista/o to find the perfect one! When thinking about fall colors, the first colors to come to mind are usually red, orange and yellow. In my adventures in the Bronx, I found that deep purples are on trend for this fall. This Fashionista is on point with the deep purple Longchamp bag and matching purple ballet flats. Longchamp bags have been a hot commodity for the past couple of years, and in my opinion are a necessity for any Fashionista’s wardrobe. These Jessica Simpson purple ballet flats are the perfect shoes for exploring the city. Gold bangles are great way to accessorize any outfit because the richness in color is trendy this season. Bangles can be found at almost any store in a variety of designs.
There is nothing better than wearing an oversized sweater and boots to class. Fall is the time to layer up and be comfy and stylish at the same time. As Coco Chanel once said, “Fashion changes, but style endures”. And that is what fall fashion is all about.
