STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Pull the Pullover My Eyes

I don’t know about the rest of the country, but here in Southern Ohio we have some pretty fickle weather. One moment it could be 75 degrees with the sun shining and a light breeze, and in a flash (of lighting) a thunderstorm appears with a drastic change in humidity. The awkward change in weather can lead to some resentful feelings toward your clothing. Who wants to be trapped in a thunderstorm without a hood?

The solution, which this Fashionisto displays oh so accurately, is a lightweight pullover hoodie. The material is a soft, lightweight cotton fabric that doesn’t add a lot of extra weight to your outfit. However, the pullover still has the basic structure of a hooded sweatshirt, so the hood (obviously) and rain coverage are still included.

In past years, pullover hoodies have been a big staple for the “sporty style,” but this Fashionisto has chosen to pair his pullover with a pair of blue-wash jeans and a pair of on-trend adidas classic sneakers. He won’t be going to play soccer in those jeans anytime soon, so I would describe this fella’s style as simplistic and casual. It seems that simple style is often overlooked by the fashion masses, but simple pieces can take a Fashionista or Fashionisto a very long way.

Don’t worry ladies, I didn’t forget about your style needs. A lightweight pullover can be worn under a favorite denim jacket when it’s chilly outside, and with a skirt on the warmer days.

All in all, pullovers are smart way to go if you’re absolutely unsure about the weather.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I usually layer my clothes in case I want to change it up throughout the day.”
