STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Pretty Patterns

“Florals for spring? Groundbreaking.” Miranda Priestly hit the nail on the head in The Devil Wears Prada, but there’s no denying florals are a pattern that are here to stay this time of year. Patterns in general are a great way to add interest to any ensemble and this Fashionista did so flawlessly.

Here this Fashionista is sporting a fun and floral look. This is a fairly simple outfit that she dressed up with a pattern. She paired her plain white tank top with a maroon bandeau underneath. Bandeaus are great layering pieces that can help you add accent colors to any look. The skater skirt is a girly and comfortable piece to throw on during this time of year.

For jewelry this Fashionista is wearing matching turquoise pieces. Turquoise is a fun and eye-catching color for spring. The best part about this colored jewelry is that it goes with almost any outfit. For the warm weather it’s always nice to wear more natural looking jewelry. This anklet in particular gives a beachy vibe because it’s made out of twine. Jewelry isn’t the only accessory this Fashionista focused on though.

Sandals are always a cute and easy go-to in the warmer weather. These leather braided sandals add to the casual beach look that her jewelry gives off. This Fashionista also threw her hair into a cute side braid. This helped keep her hair tamed and off her back in the hot weather. Lastly, she made sure to grab a pair of sunglasses before heading outside. If you experiment at stores, you can find sunglasses of all different shapes, sizes and colors to find the pair that fits your style best.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “When it’s hot out I always go for comfort first and then dress it up with cute patterns and accessories.”
