STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Practical Pants

June 10th, 2015 at 2:00am

With the summer months upon us, weather is getting hotter and hemlines are getting shorter. In the world of pants, girls don’t have too many options when it comes to dealing with the heat while still staying chic. Skinny jeans and shorts have ruled over summer for years, leaving girls feeling either too hot or too exposed. It wasn’t until last season that the track pant hit the runway, and as it is with fashion, it wasn’t until this season that they really started hitting the commercial market.

Now, these aren’t your typical athletic track pants. These trendy pants come in every color, pattern and fabric under the sun. From solid color to crazy prints to a classic tuxedo stripe, this trend has a print for every girl’s style. Not only are they currently trendy, but they are also extremely practical for the heat of the summer months. These pants are breathable and light, making them fun, flirty and extremely cool.

Rocking a pair of floral track pants, this week’s Fashionista exudes confidence in her perfectly put together ensamble as she goes out to brunch. I love the way that this Fashionista seamlessly incorporates her own personal style with the trendy track pants. Her classic style, tied in with the swingy and no-fuss pants, gives her the chance to simply radiate confidence. This Fashionista ties together her look with the perfect amount of light accessories: some stacked necklaces and a vintage Louis Vuitton. This Fashionista is the perfect example of how to seamlessly incorporate major trends to your own personal style, without being overpowered by the trend or letting it change your style.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “My advice is and always will be this: comfort is always key. Loose the tight skinny jeans and shorts and incorporate light, breathable pants into your closet for the hot summer months.”
