Fashionistas, I have a confession to make. Never in my life have I worn a Peter Pan collar. My sister, mom and friends wear them all the time, but I purposefully avoid them. I have always pictured them as being too girly, preppy and ladylike for my edgy style.
This week, I rushed out the door after this Fashionista when class ended. Is this considered creepy and stalker-like? Well, either way I had to get her picture after class because of her super cute outfit that I was admiring during her entire speech. What made it stand out was, without a doubt, the Peter Pan collar. It didn’t matter what her speech was about because she owned the classroom with confidence looking powerful, classy and ladylike. I was a little jealous that my speech outfit didn’t portray this sophistication. I knew I had to stop hating on the Peter Pan collar and find one that works for my style.
That night, I decided to search Peter Pan collar on Polyvore. Search it now. There are an infinite amount cute items. I instantly became an ex-collar hater. I added a coat, blouse and a dress to my wish list. This is shocking to people that know me, but how can I resist this Peter Pan collared kate spade new york cheetah print coat? It is to die for. This ASOS blouse is also adorable with a houndstooth or leather mini skirt and this plaid dress with its leather collar is irresistible, too. I cannot wait to purchase these items!
This week Fashionistas, you must add a Peter Pan collared clothing item to your wardrobe. You will rule the world in class and sophistication.
