STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Pearly Whites

Sundresses and sneakers are and will always be one of my go-to looks for summer. It’s one of those looks that is so easy to put together and comfortable that you almost feel like you’re getting away with something. What caught my attention about this Fashionista’s look were her pearly white Converse sneakers that look like they had just been taken out of the box. I tend to forget how much I love Converse from time to time. During the summer I probably wear them about 90 percent of the time, and when the leaves on the trees begin to change colors so do I. During the fall and winter, I normally pack away my trusty white “chucks”, opting for black ankle boots. But just as I forget about them, they always make a comeback in a big way.

All-white sneakers have been such a huge trend recently, which to some may come as a surprise. Over the past few years, brightly colored athletic sneakers seemed to be everywhere both inside and outside of the gym. Maybe these classic, fresh white sneakers are the clean break we need from the neon overload.

All-white sneakers have been making their way into various ready-to-wear collections, but have mainly been taking street style by storm. For the most part, many other street style gurus have been styling their all-white sneakers with clean-cut neutrals, most in a mid-calf pea coat and casual denim bottoms.

To make this look more on-trend, go for these adidas sneakers from the Stan Smith collection. This denim shirt dress from Forever 21 is an easy clean-cut option that adds to the outfit.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I wore my white Converse with a neutral black sundress; long coats are too hot for the summer. I kept my jewelry and hair simple to not pull focus from my new shoes.”
