STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Pattern Me Boho

September 21st, 2015 at 2:00am

With the summer season to soon be over and classes back in session, being fashionable while still staying cool can be a bit of a hassle. A trend to help one out by staying comfortable and approachable is the magnificent and chic bohemian trend, which is full of fun and confident patterns.

For those of you who don’t know what the bohemian style is, it is said to be taken from the bohemian lifestyle in which life is full of art, carefree days and a love of learning—all of which can be seen in this Fashionista’s outfit.

I am very glad to call this Fashionista one of my very good friends who I have met in college. This beauty can usually be found painting, living life to the fullest as well as studying fashion. So, of course she is boho ready. I found her on a Friday afternoon, right after class dressed casually yet still very stylish. She was wearing a detailed, navy blue cutout crop top, with a pair of patterned soft shorts, as well as a long, loose-knitted cardigan. To complete the look, the Fashionista added a pair of Birkenstocks and her favorite jewelry.

This boho look is very laid back with a summertime feel, yet the cardigan helps keep the look close to fall. Thanks to the paisley patterned soft shorts and detailed crop top, it also keeps the look looking daring yet still ready for a casual afternoon after class with friends or painting.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Being comfortable, fashionable and staying cool for classes in the heat can be hard. Being daring with patterns and being boho-chic, you are sure to rock campus and start the year off right.”
