Sweaters and leggings are the uniform of fall and winter, especially on a college campus. But when there is a sea of 20,000 girls wearing the same thing, the biggest fashion task at hand is how to make yours stand out. When I spotted this week’s Fashionista (while wearing my own sweater and leggings combo), I could instantly pick her out of the crowd.
The stand out piece in this lovely lady’s outfit was most definitely her necklace. The tortoise flower chain instantly pops against her striped knit sweater. Her accessory definitely makes a statement as well. Chunky necklaces, such as this gold one from Francesca’s, are super stylish and spice up any look. Generally, sweaters are paired with scarves or jackets, and necklaces are usually saved for other outfits. This Fashionista’s chunky necklace could be easily transferred into a night piece by replacing her sweater with a simple red blouse.
This stylish lady’s accessories didn’t stop there. I’m all about the hair bow right now, and this look showed exactly why. Coordinating with her knit sweater, similar to this Jack Wills cable knit, it’s the perfect addition to give this look a feminine touch. The simple clip easily takes any outfit to the next level.
Accessories are most definitely my personal fashion downfall, but I definitely couldn’t say the same about this Fashionista. By using a statement necklace and pretty hair bow, she took uniform to one of a kind.
