Since it is past Labor Day, you probably assume that everything white in your closet is sidelined until Memorial Day. I would argue against that and say keep wearing white for as long as the warm weather allows. Back at my Midwest Ohio school, we are in the middle of an Indian summer, where all rules about summer attire go out the window. We dress for the weather, not the date on the calender.
This Fashionista is sporting a pair of white shorts paired against black and white stripes. My favorite part of her outfit is the pink statement necklace. Statement necklaces are great because they can brighten up the simplest of outfits. When worn against a neutral black or white, the color pops, giving the outfit a whole new touch. The Fashionista also has on great tan shoes. The smoking slipper is the perfect fall shoe, because it can be worn with shorts or skinny jeans. When worn with shorts, it allows the Fashionista to not look too summery in her white attire. A simple addition would be to add a solid color cardigan to brighten up the whole look. If this Fashionista wanted to, she could have easily turned in her white shorts for a pair of classic white pants.
This Fashionista is dressed practically for the warm weather. If the weather will continue to be warm, why not keep dressing in your best summer staple pieces? Living in Ohio, the weather can change three times a week, so when the weather is 85 and sunny — we embrace it.
