While some of us might be looking for our knight-in-shining-armor, I was on the lookout for a Fashionista with the style of my dreams. So, when I spotted her wandering down the campus–thanks to that gorgeous deep blue fur coat glistening in the sun–I was intrigued because her outfit instantly made me think of the night sky.
Dark shades are as popular as ever in winter, but I love spotting Fashionistas on campus that are embracing fun materials to bring out their dark side. This Fashionista’s fur coat (which is so soft and delicate it looks like velvet) is a cozy addition to any stylish student’s wardrobe.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but something about the way her outfit seemed to catch the light reminded me of stars. If you take a closer look at her cute socks (which she told me are knee-highs rolled down), they’re made of wool with metallic threading through them, which made them sparkle every time she took a step. How’s that for a Fashionista who knows how to not just talk the talk, but walk the walk too!
Speaking of walking, when I found this Fashionista, she was walking with her equally as stylish Fashionisto boy friend, or boyfriend? If so, what a chic couple! Their photos can be found in a future post by fellow Style Guru Melissa. It isn’t often when the two of us go style stalking that we come across such a cute pair of trendsetters!
Because most of the pieces in her outfit are quite dark, I love the pop of neutral colours that the bag, boots and shirt give. Because they contrast with the deep navies and indigo shades in her outfit, they actually help those pieces stand out even more.
For any Fashionista looking to add a bit of nighttime glamour into their outfits, try a dress made of shimmering black sequins. For a fun pair of kicks for a day time look, pop on a pair of glitter trainers. Think subtle pops of sparkle and you’ll shine like a star!
