STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Neutral Nirvana

Spring has sprung! It’s almost the time of year where you can toss aside your tights and pull out those wedges buried somewhere in the back of your closet. Unfortunately for those of us in the Northeast, it’s not quite time to whip out those wedges yet. With whipping winds and chilly breezes, it’s still fuzzy sweater weather.

This Fashionista took on the chilly weather challenge, taking us to neutral nirvana with her layered look! Spring is the time everyone brings out their bright florals and prints, but to be honest, I like to keep it neutral. Timeless, classic, chic. Always.

Sometime I feel too “grungy” when I try to wear leather jackets during the day, but I love how this Fashionista pulled it off. The crisp white of her sweater and tan suede skirt balance the dark tones of her jacket and accessories. What I absolutely love about neutrals is that they are wardrobe staples that you can wear over and over again (I swear, nobody in your 9:00 a.m. Econ class will notice). The neutral shades of her look keep each piece tied together and gives a fresh twist on the typical spring style.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “If you find a pair of heels or boots that you can comfortably wear all day then buy those shoes in every color they make them in. I have these black boots in two other colors because they are just so comfortable!”
