STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Neutral Layers Take Over

Hey fellow Fashionista/os! Spring is rolling in, and guess what? Layering isn’t just for the winter season. Layering is the best way to transition into spring, especially if you live in a city that changes seasons throughout the day. I found this Fashionista roaming around the city in between her classes.

This Fashionista created a comfy, fashionable and easy look with layers on layers! She chose layers that she can definitely take on and off if the crazy San Francisco weather decides to change throughout the day. She chose a creme colored tunic with a ruffle hem as her first layer, and a light grey thermal sweater on top. She also threw on a long tan cardigan just in case it got a little breezy! Under all these fabulous layers, she wore dark wash jeans and taupe suede booties. She kept all her layers very neutral and light, which is a perfect color scheme for the transition from winter to spring. Keeping a neutral color scheme, she added a taupe fringe cross-body bag. Her choice of colors created an overall aesthetic.

She didn’t stop the layering with just her tops! She layered cute dainty gold necklaces to tie the look together, keeping it casual but totally on-point. And of course, she rocked some Dolce&Gabbana frames on this fine sunny day!

These comfy neutral layers make for the perfect casual outfit for a shopping trip with friends, lunch out on the town, and of course classes! It’s okay, you can still look cute in awkward hot and cold weather!

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I love being comfortable day to night while running around the city. This outfit keeps me warm in the morning and night. During the day when a little sun peeks out, I can take the layers off. Have fun with layering, it always makes an outfit more interesting.”
