Happy Monday Fashionistas! As October is rapidly approaching and leaves are falling in front of you during your walk to class, it is time to get serious about fall fashion. No more going out without a jacket or throwing on sandals, the brisk air of fall is here and it’s about time we embrace it!
The Fashionista I found today stuck out to me because of her mint pants. At first I had to roll my eyes and think that they were too summery for late September but when I got a closer look, I saw they were corduroys! Corduroy pants have been around for decades as a solid competitor to plain jeans. These alternatives are a must have for fall and winter as the soft stitching keeps you extremely warm. A solid pair of cords is also comfortable due to the fact that they are mostly woven cotton and elastane. If you still aren’t sold on the mint, try any of these color options from Madewell.
Furthermore, my Fashionista chose a durable denim jacket like this one from Lucky Brand, as well as a colorful scarf she snagged at T.J. Maxx to keep her cozy without being too warm! Her boots are a perfect mid-calf rise for those who don’t like super short boots or super tall riding boots. They go up just high enough to show off the pants while also warming their cooler color up a bit. This pair from American Eagle are a great price and the charcoal color will go great with any outfit!
Fall is here and it is time to embrace the cold weather by playing up fun colors into warmer outfits. Mint does not only live in the spring as this Fashionista proves, so don’t be afraid to use color for those campus outfits!
