Style Advice of the Week

The snow is melting away in Denver and spring is just around the corner! Out here wearing dresses is a big trend during warmer weather. I’ve seen all kinds of attire for this trend: long, short, printed, solids, lace, leather and even tie-dye dresses. With the right accessories and colors, springtime attire can be vibrant and fashionable. The key is mixing the right things together to create the perfect ensemble. This Fashionista does a terrific job of mixing patterns and colors to create a colorfully chic outfit.

This Fashionista decided to wear a patterned dress from Urban Outfitters. Urban Outfitters has a range of patterned dresses that will look great in spring and summer. This specific dress incorporates a great pattern in it. Even though the main part of the top is black, the patterned bottom makes the outfit pop. The part near the shoulders matches the bottom half of the dress, which makes it all come together. She wore cowgirl boots to give the outfit a casual feel, but still made it look stylish with a statement necklace. A blue ring was worn, which helped to bring some darker tones to the outfit. Rings and necklaces can accessorize outfits wonderfully and help to add some color. She layered her outfit with a denim jacket for warmth and paired her ensemble with a bright orange backpack. Another trend that is occurring is colorful and patterned backpacks. People are using them to accessorize outfits and help make a fashion statement.

As the warmer weather starts up, try to find ways to stay chic. Spring and summer give you the opportunity wear dresses (and colorful, graphic dresses are always eye catchers). Try to mix in some patterns into the outfit, while accessorizing it with jewelry and if you’re feeling really bold try to add a graphic backpack. If you follow this Fashionista’s lead your outfit should be chic and fun!
