STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Little Red

Winter is usually full of snow, layers and not wanting to leave your bed. If you go to Penn State, you know we’re infamous for not canceling class, so it’s a good idea to stock up on cute jackets since you kind of have to leave your dorm once in a while. Winter clothes tend to get repetitive and boring. To brighten your winter days a little more, try adding a pop of color to your wardrobe like this Fashionista.

Even though the holidays are over, red is still a great color to sport throughout the remaining winter months. It’s a nice change from the typical black-on-black you see every girl on campus wear every day. This Fashionista’s red peacoat is sure to get rid of your winter blues. I like how her jacket is light enough to wear under a winter coat, yet thick enough to keep you warm on your walk to class and in those frigid classrooms. I always go for a sweatshirt, leggings and UGGs when rushing to class, but this is just as easy and way more exciting.

A little pop of color can go a long way. If you’re not one for bright colors, incorporate a small pop of color in a different way, such as an accessory. I wear some form of black clothing in almost every outfit, but I always try to add a bit of bright color to my outfits. Try a statement necklace like this one from BaubleBar.
