STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Little Gray Riding Hood

In Tel Aviv, like any major city, there are often so many things going on at once. You could brunch in a café, people watch in a park or maybe even catch a local band’s concert. Amongst a sea of people, it can be hard so stand out. Trend lovers in big cities often think that they need to be clothed in an eccentric, neon print in order to be seen. However, a true Fashionista will tell you this is not true. Every once in a while, a Fashionista like this will shine in simplicity above the rest!

In a posh array of different hues of gray stands this sophisticated Fashionista! The dusty palette starts with a black knitted tank top with great texture. It was then paired with an ashy gray skirt that has a fun print that shows monochrome does not mean boring! The Fashionista donned black sandals that are functional in comfort while maintaining the gray tone look. A black leather bag and black shades are the final touches that add a further edge to this Fashionista’s look.

This outfit is very easy to transition. It is simple enough that it can be worn to school, but it’s elegant look makes it possible to wear at night. It is very tasteful and does not beg for attention but instead it earns it. Wearing colors like black, white, hunter green, gray and plum will always be attractive. Brands like Helmut Lang especially emphasize this. While wearing all neutrals, a stylist has the option to showcase a certain detail if they want. This can be done through a bright lip color or maybe a colorful accessory.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “There is no secret trick to wearing monochromatic outfits. As long as you have tops, bottoms and accessories in the same color, dressing in all one hue is super simple and looks effortlessly chic”
