As we are right in the midst of a frigid Midwestern winter it becomes more of a necessity to dress as warm as we can, rather than trying to be fashionable. The summer months give us a wide variety of clothing and shoe options, while during the winter months at Indiana University we’re limited to what we can wear. We tend to put away our favorite open-toed sandals and tank tops and pull out the snow boots and puffy winter coats.
This fellow sophomore Hoosier Fashionista made no excuses for the temperature when choosing these fun oxford wedge booties. What I love about this Fashionista is that she chose to unite casual and dressy to create a very chic look. Her look goes to show that you can rock a powerful shoe with even the simplest attire. Also, not all of us ladies were blessed with the feet that can rock a pair of heels or platforms (at least for an entire day/evening), so anything that’s somewhat comfortable and gives you a little height is always a plus.
This Fashionista found these adorable rust Sabella oxfords at ShoeDazzle. If you are looking for a couture look that won’t break your bank, I would highly encourage becoming a member at ShoeDazzle! This site even gives you outfit ideas that would look good with that particular shoe. I also really like the Chinese Laundry Lannie oxford bootie sold at DSW and the Steve Madden Raider bootie found at Nordstrom. Both of which I am sure you will love. I have said this once and I’ll say it again, I am a firm believer that a great shoe can make an outfit. I think all three of these choices will do just that!
