STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Less is More

As a fashion major, one of the toughest issues I face is not going overboard when dressing for class. The trend of athleisure is very prominent on my campus and it is difficult not to feel like you are trying too hard when standing next to your classmates that look comfy, casual and cute in leggings and a bright workout tank. Never the less, everyone should feel excited and confident about the outfit they put on in the morning. Balance is key and that is exactly the look that this Fashionista achieves in her outfit.

At the center of this look is the black and white geometric soft pants. Plain leggings can be boring, but the subtle, yet interesting, print on these casual and comfy pants will be turning heads as you strut down campus. Let the print take the lead on this look and pair it with a staple piece, such as this plain white tank. For even more spice, add your favorite bralette.

With the temperature continuously dropping, this Fashionista knows she has to stay warm while walking to class and also be prepared for stuffy classrooms. Her light wash jean jacket adds the perfect touch to her look while also being functional. If you’re like me and can’t seem to ever get to class on time, Converse sneakers are also probably the way to go for some fast-paced walking and to finish off your look. Simple Ray-Bans add the last bit of accessory to showcase a look that is comfortable, yet suitable for a Fashionista looking to make a statement.
