STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Leopard is a Neutral

It’s the holiday season, but I’m not here to tell you about how you can achieve your best New Year’s Eve look. At least for us here at Providence College, a few weeks of finals (and the tears that come alongside) are keeping us from enjoying that full month of home and fun festivities. Despite it being not quite ready to dress up yet for those holiday parties, that doesn’t mean that we can’t dress up and add some elegance to everyday looks. This Fashionista for example, dresses up light wash denim with a lil’ leopard pattern.

At this point in the season, you’re probably at your ends with the fashion phrase “sweater weather.” However, you cannot deny how subtle yet killer this Fashionista’s sweater from Laundry is. Personally, I believe that everyone should have at least one article of leopard-print clothing. It’s the perfect, fun and most versatile pattern there is.

When in doubt, high-waisted jeans are always a go-to on the days that you “don’t have anything to wear.” For me, I could go for any wash in this style of denim and still be satisfied—they really do go with everything and are of utmost flattery. This Fashionista’s pair is from Madewell, who of course is best known for their denim! Paired with her jeans, she wore ankle booties from French Connection.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Be daring. Be first. Be different. Life is too short to wear boring clothes! And for the leopard, I am with Jenna Lyons on this one: Leopard is a neutral.”
