STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Last season’s trend, trending?

It is finally fall in Kentucky! We spent the first half of the season in an awkward limbo, wearing our cut-offs and sandals in October when we should’ve been making the switch to our cozy sweaters and boots. A month late, our chilly weather is here and this Fashionista excitedly welcomed it with this look that is “SO FALL!”

I love everything about this Fashionista’s look. Her chunky knit turtleneck, classic dark denim and her gorgeous leather bag and boots look amazing together. Although the turtleneck trend returned from the ’90s just last fall, it’s back for another season. This Fashionistas was not afraid to rock it once again. In addition, I really loved how she made sure her bag and her shoes matched. It is details like this that make all the difference in my opinion.

If you learn anything from this Fashionista, let it be this,  always pay close attention to the details and match the finishes of your leather bags and boots to give a well-polished and high quality touch to your outfits. Secondly, as taboo as it may be, don’t be afraid to rock trends from last season. Turtlenecks laid only in the depths of ’90s baby’s nightmares for the past 10 years only to make a vicious come back last fall. That can only be accredited to one gutsy Fashionista out there! With that said, trends only die if we let them die, and obviously if one person has the guts to rock it.  Others will take note and let the trend live on!
