STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Keeping It Country

August 5th, 2015 at 2:00am

The fall semester is just around the corner which means hello to football games and tailgating all day long. Game days are always filled with lots of barbecue and ice cold beverages. Pick up trucks set up shop along the stadium and bring out their grills and tents for a fun day of tailgating. Hit songs by country artists like Luke Bryan and Kenny Chesney can be heard blasting from speakers miles away. There’s no better feeling than walking into Doak Stadium to cheer on the Seminoles on a game day.

Going to a Southern university means lots of southern flare, from our love of football to our fashion choices. During a typical school day in the South, students can be seen walking around campus sporting Vineyard Vines T-shirts and Jack Rogers sandals. However, during football games it is customary to look your best in garnet and gold dresses with a nice pair of boots or sandals.

This Fashionista sports her country roots by wearing a little black sundress with brown cowboy boots. Her Seminole spirit is shown through her delicate arrow necklace and the ebony color of her dress which coincides with Florida State’s team colors. The element that keeps this outfit country is definitely her authentic leather cowboy boots. Her cowboy boots are the perfect comfy footwear for hanging out in the grass and standing on the stadium bleachers during football games.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Sundresses are perfect for game day outfits since they are effortlessly cute while still being comfortable to wear all day.”
