STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Keeping Cool

January 26th, 2015 at 2:00am

This is a busy time of year, especially for us college students. Our attention is on moving back to our college towns, mentally prepping for the semester and let’s not forget about the agony of buying textbooks. It’s safe to say things are a bit stressful right now.

Let’s forget about the stress for a moment and remember a crucial key to life in college—keeping cool. I ran across a Fashionisto on campus that seemed to have the whole keeping-his-cool-thing down. Sometimes keeping your cool is all about your outfit and the vibe you give off. This Fashionisto starts with the basics: a white long sleeve shirt and black jeans. He slowly adds on the cool with his camouflage puffer jacket and his boots; both perfect for Texas’s unpredictable weather. He tops the outfit off with a classic black beanie, which is known for the laid-back vibe it can give to any outfit.

The puffer jacket this Fashionisto is wearing is warm enough for those chilly days, but not too warm for the flip flopping weather that may come any given day. The puffer jacket’s print and design gives any basic look a cool vibe without looking like you’re trying too hard. A unique jacket is the key to looking cool, calm and collected in the fall and winter time.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Dress in layers. The weather can be unpredictable. Whether it rains or snows, you’ll always be prepared for what the weather throws at you.”
