STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Keep It Light

Style Advice of the Week

We have experienced our ups and downs with the weather this winter. There are days we find ourselves surrounded by endless amounts of snow, causing us to bundle up in our comfiest clothes. Other times, if we’re lucky here at Syracuse, the sun decides to show, and the temperature is almost perfect enough for us to throw on an oversized sweater and call it a day. With the sun shining down on Syracuse, campus looks even more beautiful. The warm weather allows Fashionistas/os to try out new styles, especially with the spring season approaching.

I caught this Fashionista right before a snow storm hit ‘Cuse. Wearing a cream sweater paired with a dark colored flannel, dark wash jeans and brown riding boots. Collared shirts paired with sweaters has been a popular trend on campus. Instead of a winter coat, cardigan, cashmere or wool sweater, substitute a jacket on warmer days. This will allow you more flexibility and a cleaner, lighter look! If a sweater isn’t enough to keep you toasty, throw on a jean jacket.

What really drew my attention to this Fashionista was her statement necklace! This accessory has the ability to complete an outfit, and with the different fun colors and designs it gives the Fashionista’s outfit a pop of color.

Although it is still winter, we are still going to get those days when our snow gear won’t be necessary. Keeping your attire light will give you to taste of fresh air and the approaching season.
