STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Jumping Into Summer

The resurgence of ‘70s styles on the runways this year has finally made it to the streets. The fall 2015 collections were full of long, loose silhouettes and statement jewelry, and it seems that these trends have begun to infiltrate summer wardrobes as well.

One of the biggest trends? Jumpsuits. They could be covered in exaggerated floral prints, fun geometrics or in a simple solid color. The jumpsuit is back and it has been revamped to fit every Fashionista’s needs. The mid ‘70s saw the beginning of this trend, and now we’re able to see the reinvention of the jumpsuit in perfect light and airy fabrics that’ll make this summer a breeze.

The question we are all asking is, “How do we style this fun trend to make it modern and perfect for the summer?” This Fashionista knows exactly what to do, and she wears it with such ease! She has taken a simple black jumpsuit with a cinched waist and added a bold necklace to enhance the look. With a simple pair of nude heels and a small backpack that ties in the same mint color of the necklace, she has taken the classic jumpsuit and created her own style.

While the ‘70s were all about bold prints and bright colors mixed together, today’s take on the jumpsuit has more to do with balance. Pair dainty and simple pieces of jewelry with bolder and brighter prints or, like our Fashionista, keep the clothing simple and add bold and fun accessories.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I am shorter so jumpsuits can sometimes be harder to wear, but by adding heels it helps to lengthen the look of my legs and makes it easier to pull off.”
