Fan of the maxi dress trend? Then jumpsuits are for you! They may require further stepping out of your comfort zone, but the fact that they are so easy and comfortable will make you feel more confident when stepping out in one for the first time. Jumpsuits are great for casual wear, but I especially like them dressed up. Try accessorizing yours with some unique pieces like this Fashionista did. Her simple necklace, bracelet (which has the coordinates of Cincinnati on it), bright Tory Burch bag and sandals make her outfit perfect for a girls’ night out!
If you like the jumpsuit pictured and are a fan of the tie dye trend like myself, take a look at this Velvet one and this Tart one. The lightweight pieces would be great for any summer getaway. For a few fancier choices, however, check out this navy one, this black one and this patterned one from TOBI.
As for the people who aren’t ready to jump on the jumpsuit trend, rompers are a safe alternative. I usually think that jumpsuits look better on people with a little more height, while rompers look better on those who are shorter and may drown in jumpsuits. This is not a hard and fast rule, though, so I would recommend trying on both to see what works best for you. When it comes to rompers, I think the most flattering style is one with a drawstring waist and flowy or batwing sleeves. I’m currently obsessing over this tie dye one from Shopbop and this Revolve Clothing floral one.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Always have a satchel that goes with everything. Pink is a good color because it adds a pop of color to a full outfit and is especially fun in the summer. Bright gold shoes can also dress up any look!”
