STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Jump Into Summer with a Jumpsuit

Summer is finally among us, yet most of us are still fried out from the end of the school year. As easy as it would be to just roll out of bed on these lazy summer days, the sweatpants need to be left at home. I get that sometimes picking out a cute outfit can just be too much work, but there’s no need to sacrifice your reputation as a fashion goddess.

But never fear, for the solution is here. This season’s trend, the jumpsuit, is all the rave. A jumpsuit is effortlessly trendy because it avoids the hassle of trying to match an outfit and it’s super cool. Can you think of anything more joyous than a totally rad jumpsuit? Well, convicted felons probably can, but that’s besides the point. Jumpsuits can be totally chic as long as they’re not bright orange and as shapeless as a potato sack. The right jumpsuit can be flattering on one’s figure and serve as the staple piece for a eye-catching outfit. Jumpsuits have been seen on style icons such as: Kim Kardashian, Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid, Beyoncé and Kylie Jenner.

This Fashionista rocked a navy cross-back jumpsuit from Banana Republic. She paired wedged strappy sandals from Franco Sarto with this ensemble, which is a stylish addition to this piece. This Fashionista also spiced up her look with a statement necklace and a criss-cross headwrap. Although her outfit is simple, she looks very put together and has a summery aesthetic. The jumpsuit is the perfect all-in-one outfit that is a closet necessity for every Fashionista.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “For summertime, I want to keep things simple yet sophisticated. The right jumpsuit can elongate the body, and make you feel as though you belong on the catwalk and not just the sidewalk, which is obviously a plus. Invest in that amazing timeless piece that fits perfectly, like a classy jumpsuit and you can’t go wrong. As much fun as it is to follow trends and buy the cheap Forever 21 dress, it’s the rocking pieces like the jumpsuit that will actually last you forever.”
