STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Jean Queen

Picture this, jean on jean. No, not J.T. and Britney back in 2001 at the American Music Awards. I’m talking about the monochromatic trend but with denim. It is so fashion-forward and perfect for spring. Even better, it’s the easiest look ever. Just pair your favorite jeans with a classic denim or chambray button-up. Done and done; now you have your own stylish Canadian Tuxedo.

This Fashionista is an excellent example of this trend. She paired a flattering pair of skinny jeans with a light blue chambray button down. To give the outfit some flare she topped the look off with a patterned flow-y sweater vest and some brown suede booties with fringe. Icing on the cake? Her gold jewelry ties the whole outfit together. She is the perfect example of jean on jean done right.

I think the reason this look is so popular right now is because everyone loves denim and finds it super comfortable; so why not sport a whole outfit of it? It is also great because there are so many variations to the trend.  Try a white denim pencil skirt with a light wash chambray button-down and some simple nude flats. This two-toned look is great for transitioning into summer. Overall, there are so many ways to work this trend, and I am confident that you have the perfect materials to set it up just waiting in your closet!

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “With all the rain that comes with April, I find myself having to incorporate my rain boots in my outfits every day. Rain boots don’t have to be clunky and bland, I add pops of color to my black ones by folding colorful socks over them or have them peek out. It definitley adds that much needed color to all this dreary weather!”
