STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: It’s Not Labor Day Yet

Growing up in the modern fashion world, it is an unwritten rule that white is to be worn only between the months of May and early September. Summer is a carefree season full of backyard barbeques, walks along the beach, and plenty of white clothing.  Memorial Day kicks off the white wearing season and Labor Day Weekend is when it comes to a screeching halt. White is then replaced with earthy greens, browns, and oranges.

But it’s not Labor Day yet. This Fashionista is rocking her white cropped skinny jeans. The bleach white pants give her outfit a clean continuity and cohesion. Her pale pink colored statement necklace and earrings provide contrast with the olive green shirt. The gold Alex and Ani bracelets pair nicely with the Jack Rogers sandals. Lastly, her tinted sunglasses are eye catching and fun for the summer season!

Take advantage of the white wearing season. Outfit your white shorts, dress, bathing suit, beach coverup, or skirt while you can. Or dare to be different and wear white all year long! If done right, white can be sported in all four seasons. In the fall, pair your white jeans with a big comfy darkly colored sweater and cool suede boots. In winter, stock up on a puffy white coat and look good while hitting the slopes. For the spring season, wear a classic white dress with a sweater or re-use your white jeans with a pastel colored top and blazer. Break the rules, that’s the mark of a true Fashionista.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “White jeans are a summer must-have! They can be dressed up with wedges and an elegant top, or dressed down with flip flops and a tank top. I love the versatility of white jeans and I wear them on a weekly basis.”
