STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: I’m Bringing Preppy Back

Flowers and spring fashion are starting to bloom here at Sacred Heart University. These beautiful buds are breaking ground along with major fashion trends. Fashionistas are tearing department stores apart scavenging through to find the must haves of spring 2015. With temperatures heating up, we are able to finally break out our super chic flats and bold colored skirts, like this Fashionista does.

She was seen wearing a navy blue and white polka-dot blouse tucked into a sophisticated yellow skirt. She also wore a blue, light jacket that matched her blouse perfectly. She was rocking one of the latest spring trends, pointy-toed nude flats. This Fashionista accessorized with a nude Longchamp bag, as well as her favorite monogrammed necklace, which tied her whole ensemble together.

This Fashionista’s classic outfit exudes a preppy type of fashion that never goes out of style. We have seen this style for decades, and I don’t predict it will vanish anytime soon. Her skirt gives off a vintage ‘70s vibe because of the color. Her blouse and jacket update the look with colors complimenting it. This Fashionista rocks the preppy style in an effortless manner. Besides wearing this around campus, she could also wear it for a presentation, sorority chapter meeting or even a nice dinner. This outfit translates into a multitude of looks for a number of different occasions.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “My favorite accessory has to be my monogram necklace. I love how it’s specific to everyone, which makes it a special piece. It also goes well with my preppy style and I can wear it with anything!”
