With a forecast of eighty percent chance of rain all day long, I loved this Fashionista’s cheerful, classic ensemble. The bright blue of her floral dress and the eye-catching gold in her accessories helped create an outfit that would look great running errands around town as well as going to a graduation party. I also love this outfit because it’s not too many layers. Anyone in the South in the summer months knows exactly what I mean! Between weddings, graduations and just going to and from your car, having an outfit that is both cute and comfortable is a must.
Another great thing about simple sundresses are their versatility. This Fashionista styled hers with strappy sandals, a chain-link belt and vintage rings to create a fresh, summery vibe perfect for everyday wear or attending a music festival. You could throw on a sweater and boots to add more weight to your outfit, making it perfect for the cooler temperatures.
Sundresses also allow for all different levels of formality. Some days, I wear mine with flat sandals, but when I need to look a little more polished without spending more time on my outfit, I just swap out my sandals for wedges, add a long necklace and pin up my bangs with a sparkly barrette. When you start with a simple dress as your foundation, you can use accessories and your shoes to set your outfit’s tone.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Don’t try to put too many accessories together. If you let one piece of clothing shine over everything else, you’ll have a much more balanced look.”
