To kick off my second semester as a Style Guru, I couldn’t have chosen a more perfect Fashionista to photograph. When I seek out the chic of the week, I capture outfits that are not only eye catching, but also things that I can see myself also trying out. I’d like to think a big portion of my posts reflects my own personal style and this look was no exception.
This lovely lady just returned from a yearlong adventure studying abroad in Madrid, Spain. Everything that she was wearing for the picture she picked up during her trip. Her life has been forever changed since her experience, including her style. She finds herself wearing a lot of hats, scarves and boots which are a very popular look for women her age in Europe.
My favorite part of her outfit is by far her hat. Hats have become super popular in street style fashion and are very versatile. Whether it be a fedora with a sun dress or a snapback paired with a boyfriend T-shirt, we’re seeing more and more ladies pulling off this trend with their own twist.
The dress and booties she decided to pair with her hat are perfect for a hot August afternoon in Bloomington. She made it casual, but very stylish at the same time. Although she gathered her outfit from various stores in France, England and Spain, you can find a dress similar to hers here and a pair of ankle booties here!
Regardless if you’re dressing up for a night on the town or going casual for a day of classes, a cute hat that complements your ensemble is always the way to go!
