As someone who wants to pursue a career in fashion I know its important to be open-minded when it comes to trends and people’s personal style. Before I joined CollegeFashionista as a Style Guru I had a particular idea about what fashion meant and I didn’t really appreciate what it really meant to have style. Therefore when scouting for students on campus I make it a point to search for those that are bold and unique. As soon as I saw this Fashionista I was immediately drawn to her and what I originally thought was a skirt. She told me they were pants she bought when she studied abroad in Argentina and I fell even more in love. Now this is what I call a trendsetter!
Since visiting Argentina is not on my immediate to-do list, the next quick fix to recreating this look is wearing a harem pant. I was a little skeptical about the harem pants, but after seeing this Fashionista I am definitely intrigued enough to purchase a pair. I love this pair from Urban Outfitters due to the playful pattern and cinch at the ankle. If you are still a bit hesitant to try them then the next best alternative is a pair of wide leg pants such as these from Forever 21. They have the same essence of this Fashionista’s pants such as the ultra loose fit and cool pattern. Now it’s important for the pants to be the main star here so keep everything else simple by pairing it with a tank top and flip flops. When accessorizing stay true the boho style and opt for pieces that are colorful and unique.
Being fashionable doesn’t mean you have to wear the latest trends on the rack, it means being true to who you are and reflecting that in what you wear.
