STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Gray and Tan Go Hand In Hand

The rules of neutrals have blurred into shades of tan and gray. The color gray can transition between warm and cool tones. It used to be that gray was strictly a cool toned color and was to only be accented with cool colors such as blue. We’re so done with that. Gray is now being grouped with the colors tan and beige in a rebellious way.

This Fashionisto perfects the gray and tan concept. He pairs a dark gray crew neck with some tan pants. I guess the trendy thing in my area is to call khakis “tan pants”. I’m not sure why this occurs, but I kind of like it. Let’s talk about these pants. Every man needs to own a pair! Literally wear anything with these tan pants and you automatically look put together and have a stylish edge.

Although it’s summer, a crew neck is still great for those random chilly days. Underneath the crew neck, this Fashionista is wearing a plain black T–shirt. If he gets too hot he can merely take off the crew neck because both pieces complement his tan pants. This Fashionisto finishes his look with a silver watch and different shoes. I say different because usually you see guys wearing some big name brand tennis shoes. This tennis shoe doesn’t have that sporty look, but instead are trendier with the pattern on the sides.

It’s obvious that gray and tan go hand in hand. Don’t be afraid to explore different neutrals!

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK?: “When I dress myself, I think about two things. First, I try to be comfortable. I have a certain style that I’ve been sticking too and I prefer to stay with that. Second, I try to dress appropriately for any situation. I m not always sure what my day is going to include, so I try not to go too casual or too formal.”
