STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Graduate In Style

Style Advice of the Week

I don’t know about you, but for me May is one of the busiest months of the year. Finishing up finals, moving your things home from school and finding a summer job are just a few things on everyone’s mind. But the event that’s probably taking up most of your brain capacity is (wait for it) graduation. Whether you are the actual graduate taking part in one or the poor soul that has to sit through one, graduations are happening everywhere. And if you are anything like me, you spend the whole ceremony checking out who’s wearing what and making bets on which girl will trip walking in because her shoes are just too incredibly tall.

Picking out an outfit for such an occasion can be challenging, but not for this Fashionista! This lovely lady decided to keep it classy as she takes the next step in her life and graduates from high school. She is sporting a striped light blue and white seersucker dress from Southern Frock, a fabulous choice when the weather is too hot and the occasion is dressy. And there will be no thought of this Fashionista tripping on her way in because she has decided to pair beautiful Antonio Melani wedges with her sophisticated ensemble. These dark tan beauties will not only get her to her seat safely, but are also a great look for the approaching summer. To add some shimmer to her outfit, this Fashionista decided to stack two bracelets: the bow bracelet from a small boutique called Dress and Dwell and the pavé link bracelet from J.Crew. Stacking bracelets is a great way to add some color or personality to your outfit and these accessories are the perfect finishing touches to our Fashionista’s graduation look.

As we all know, graduation is a time to celebrate academic achievements and is the start of the next chapter of our lives; such an occasion should be celebrated in style. Since graduation is also the kick off to summer, it is the perfect opportunity to show off your classic summer dress and your favorite pair of wedges. Pair them with some fun bracelets and you will look just as sophisticated and stylish as this Fashionista!
