STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Goodbye Jeans

Say goodbye to your jeans this spring and summer and say hello to soft pants. This style of pants, also called joggers, is on track to become a closet staple. I cannot vouch enough for these slouchy pants. They can be dressed up or down for work or for play. They cinch in at the waist, but don’t hug your legs in unflattering ways. Joggers are the piece you have been missing in your summer wardrobe.

Dressing for spring and summer can definitely prove to be difficult at times. We have all reached that point in the season where we just can’t figure what to wear that night. It’s too hot for jeans and you have worn your other shorts and skirts too many times. Soft pants are the perfect solution. Pair them with some wedges, a summery tank top and a chunky necklace and you are ready for dinner and drinks.

This Fashionista styled hers perfectly for a brunch or a day of shopping. She paired her basic black soft pants with metallic sandals, a striped tank top and a lightweight cardigan. She added a great pop of color with her neon pink necklace, another big spring trend, and her go-to jewelry. She dressed perfectly fashionable and casual for campus.

Seen on the runways of Balmain and Calvin Klein, these pants are finally capturing people’s attention. They have been on the verge of becoming a lasting trend the past few years. Harem pants and unflattering trousers have been seen on the runways for a while but have only been on trend for a short time. Finally, designers and stores have perfected these pants and the fashion world has responded with overwhelming acceptance. The pants can be found everywhere, in many styles and any color or pattern you want. Start with a basic black pair or a flattering pattern and you will for sure fall in love.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I love to experiment with trends and I am shopping all the time. These are the perfect addition to my closet. I work as a receptionist at an office and these pants can go from professional at work during the day to fashionable at dinner with my friends at night. I love them!”
