STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Going Green

March 30th, 2015 at 2:00am

This Fashionista put together a rockin’ style, and it was just in time for the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations! Her overall look radiated a festive mood, and it was done in a way that did not go overboard with the color green. As someone who does not care for the green palette, I thought this Fashionista pulled off a very chic St. Paddy’s Day ensemble.

As you can see, this Fashionista got it right from head to toe. Her outfit incorporated green in such a tasteful way, and it even made me want to replicate the look. At first glance, this outfit appears pretty dressy. If you look closely, you can see the multiple ways she made it perfect for many different venues. Her green tweed jacket is toned down by a simple white tank top underneath. The light green leather skirt and the soft green tweed jacket are an impeccable match. This combination is off-set by the black booties and purse. The bucket bag goes perfectly with the outfit, and it is big enough to hold anything that is needed, and more! The tones, choice of footwear and functional purse make this a very versatile outfit.

So, even if your likes are similar to mine and green just isn’t your color, don’t disregard it so easily. Be bold and daring, pick it up off the rack and try it on. Just see if it looks good on you, and you may be very surprised. I bet there is a shade of green that will work for you, and if so, you will have the perfect outfit for next year’s celebration of St. Patrick’s Day! Remember this, Fashionistas, and believe that you can leave the store with a fun, festive, feminine color that you don’t normally have in your closet. That’s what I did!

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Confidence! Try something new, and you may be amazed at the results. If it doesn’t work, just change it up! Enjoy!”
