Style Advice of the Week

It’s that time of year again…..winter break! I hope were all taking a rest from school for a bit. But just because school is over it does not mean we take a break from looking great on the streets. I spotted this Fashionista strolling around town wearing a warm but trendy outfit. But what really caught my eye was her tribal patterned top. I thought it really made this outfit pop. This lovely top is made by Ralph Lauren and can be found in any Nordstrom.

This Fashionista layered the tribal top with a simple black cardigan, a beige colored vest and a gray leather jacket. Topped it off with a black and white checkered scarf and colorful wool hat. As for the bottoms, she kept it simple because the top layers were the focal point to this outfit. She wore black leggings and edgy black ankle boots. I loved how she used this boho pattern and made it edgy and modern to fit her style. The way she mixed patterns and made them work together was very creative. The black and white scarf worked well with her multicolored top. From this you can see how adaptable this trend can be.

This trend has moved from the spring/summer to fall/winter. I have seen it a lot from tops, to bottoms to even shoes. But certainly the big, bulky, loose cardigans and sweaters are a perfect way to stay warm and fashionable! It seems stores are going tribal too. Check out this cardigan from Forever 21 or this sweater from This trend is very versatile due to the many different colors and patterns available. It can be as simple as wearing leggings and high leather boots, which is a classic look. Or you can be adventurous and try wearing it with colored skinny jeans. Either way, you will end up looking fabulous. I personally love this trend and I hope it is here to stay.
